We ("Brighton Students' Union") will be what is known as the ‘Controller’ of the personal data you provide to us in respect of StaffSavvy. For StaffSavvy, we only collect basic personal data about you that we as your potential employer need to know. All the personal data we process via StaffSavvy is either processed by or on our behalf (including the third party hosting company for the service) in the UK. No other third parties have access to your personal data provided for StaffSavvy (unless the law allows them to do so).

Details of the retention period and the lawful basis for our processing of your personal data are as set out in our full privacy policy which is available on our website.

If at any point you wish to have access to this personal data or believe the information we process on you is incorrect or incomplete you can request to see this information and have it corrected or deleted. You also have the right to restrict our processing of your personal data or to object to our processing of it. Dear Candidate

Welcome to the BSU Application process for Student Staff. If you are not a student of the University of Brighton you will unfortunately not be eligible to apply for this role.

These roles are specific to your school, please only apply to the school that you are studying in.

This Application Form is intended for use purely for this particular vacancy. If you wish to apply for any other positions within the Union, please submit them via the relevant vacancy page. 

To improve your chances of being selected for an interview, please make sure you complete all the sections and provide as much information as you feel is relevant.

If you are successful in being invited to an interview you will receive an invitation for a 15 minute online interview on a week day week commencing 15th September 2025. Any time from 09.00 - 17.00.

The interview will be conducted via Microsoft Teams. You will receive an invite via email to the email you have provided upon application. This will confirm date and time of interview.

Should you not hear from us by 12th September 2025 please assume you have been unsuccessful in your application.
